Ashlee A. Pouncy practices in the Zoning, Land Use & Environmental Section of the Miami-Dade County Attorney’s Office where she initiates civil enforcement actions seeking compliance with the County’s environmental and building regulations.  Ashlee also initiates and defends foreclosure actions on behalf of Miami-Dade County.

Ms. Pouncy previously practiced as a civil litigation and appellate associate in the Miami office of Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel  (HMB).  Her practice areas included maritime law, commercial litigation, and construction litigation.  Prior to returning to her hometown of Miami, Florida, Ms. Pouncy served as a Staff Attorney for Florida Supreme Court Justice Peggy A. Quince.  She also practiced administrative law at the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. 

Ms. Pouncy currently serves as the Chair of the Law Related Education Committee of The Florida Bar, and an active contributor to the Committee’s publications.  She received her undergraduate degree in Criminology and her law degree from Florida State University (FSU).  While at FSU College of Law, Ms. Pouncy served as chapter president and regional board member of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA), and continues to mentor members throughout the state of Florida.  She also was a member of the law school’s Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law.

Ms. Pouncy has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2011 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida.
